We’re beyond excited to share this stunning coffee with you—“El Mango”—a vibrant, mango-infused Purple Caturra crafted with heart by Rodrigo Sánchez Valencia. A third-generation coffee farmer, Rodrigo has taken his family’s legacy and infused it with passion, curiosity, and innovation. Since discovering the world of cupping and quality in 2002, he’s completely transformed Finca Monteblanco into a beacon of creativity and excellence.
“El Mango” is the soul of that transformation. It starts with a 190-hour fermentation of a mother culture made from native microorganisms, fresh mangoes, orange juice, and molasses—an alchemy of nature and intention. Rodrigo then selects only the ripest cherries by hand, pulps them, and gives them another 180-hour fermentation inside a sealed tank with this vibrant culture. Afterward, the cherries are gently sun-dried, then finished under shade to preserve their complexity and character.
The result is something magical. This coffee bursts with tropical warmth, juicy sweetness, and the story of a family’s devotion. It’s become a true crowd favorite here in South Florida, and for good reason.
